|
|
I am having trouble getting samba to load at startup. I have been looking into this and I have put in my /etc/rc.conf:
| Code: | ...
#
#DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond)
DAEMONS=(fbsplash fam samba !syslog-ng !hotplug !pcmcia network !mysqld !dbus !avahi-daemon)
# End of file |
If I type in:
| Code: | | sudo /etc/rc.d/samba start |
Samba starts and works fine.
What am I doing wrong??

Have you put a tick in the box in the Myth setup (part of LinHES) to tell it to turn on?
Just a thought. _________________ Girkers

rc.conf is not used with linhes.
The suggested method is as girkers said.
Or add_service.sh smbd and add_service.sh nmbd |
