| I have a Hauppauge HVR-1800. It works under windows but the programs for windows suck. I am running Knoppmyth but my card isn't detected. I have kernel 2.6.23. Is this my problem, do I need to upgrade? I am extremely new to linux and could use some help. |

| I'd recommend backing up and upgrading to R6. There is a change the card will work out the box w/ newer kernel and V4L/DVB modules (drivers). If not, it is easy to install the latest modules. |
